When the stores start putting out the Christmas decorations in August, I guess by October it's time to start your holiday shopping?

According to a new survey, one out of every three people have already started their Christmas shopping. And they haven't been just shopping for gifts, they've bought the decorations and food too.

The survey also asked people what strategy they use to handle Christmas spending. 50% of people say they try to save for Christmas throughout the year and that includes about 10% who bought stuff in the after Christmas sales.

25% use coupons, credit card points, and deals to save on their shopping.

17% just put it on their credit cards while 8% take out loans or overdraft on their accounts.

Yeah, that's the holiday spirit!
