10 Finalists Announced for 2016 Country Showdown at Cowboy’s Night Club in Lafayette

This year's Country Showdown is set for Saturday, July 23rd at Cowboy's Night Club in Lafayette and brought to you by Service Chevrolet Cadillac. The Showdown gives you the opportunity to perform on stage and hopefully launch your very own singing career.

For the last few weeks we have been allowing you to send in your demos to enter this year's Showdown. Our Green Label Panel of judges have combed through the entries and selected the top 10.

Here they are (in no particular order), the 10 finalists who will get to compete on stage with a live band at Cowboy's Night Club for the title as 97.3 The Dawg's Country Showdown winner.

• 2 In the Chamber - Loreauville
• Josh Johnson - Eunice
• Kevin Simon - Youngsville
• Ashley Sittig - Eunice
• Alfred Doucet - Egan
• Hailee Saintes - New Iberia
• Luke Morgan - Sunset

The winner of our competition will then move on to the state level, and hopefully, eventually to the national competition. The 2016 national winner receives $100,000 worth of cash and prizes and the title of "Best New Act in Country Music".

This year's Country Showdown will begin at 8:00pm at Cowboy's Nightclub in Lafayette. A huge thanks to our sponsor Service Chevrolet Cadillac along with our prize sponsor, Cowboy's Western Store.

Dustin Sonnier & The Wanted will be the backing band and will provide the evening's entertainment after the Showdown is over.
