13th Annual Zydeco Breakfast September 5

The City of Opelousas will host the 13th annual Zydeco Breakfast on Saturday, September 5th at the historic St. Landry Parish Courthouse. Wayne & Same Ol 2-Step will get the party started, with festivities from  8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. under the oak trees. Opelousas is well known as the Zydeco Capital of the World, and this annual Breakfast tradition gets us ready for the Original Southwest Louisiana Zydeco Music Festival in Plaisance, which is celebrating its 33rd year on September 5.

Many local businesses will be serving breakfast foods and beverages, and admission is free for this fun event. Bring your lawn chairs, and your families to this event which celebrates so much that we love about our Zydeco music! The Zydeco Ballers will also be offering dance lessons, to get you ready for the festival!
