I was doing the math in my head just a few minutes ago, I have had the pleasure of waking up with you on 97.3 The Dawg for quite a while now. Kids who were born the year I started at the station are now driving and very soon they will be heading off to college. Maybe it's because my own son is at the driving age and the daughter of some very dear friends is graduating this year I started wondering. Wondering if we as parents and alleged adults have given this generation enough information to take on the challenges of an ever changing world. If we haven't maybe we have now, here are 18 things I wish someone one have told me when I was 18, many of these statements still apply in our lives today.

If you are moved in the way that I was I hope you will share these insights with the next generation. They may know it all now, but in a few years when they realize they don't maybe this will be a "cheat sheet" to help them stay on track. In my opinion the most profound statement is #18, I can say with all honesty I am living that one.
