2 Deputies Gunned Down Near La Place

Sad news out of St. John The Baptist Parish yesterday. Two Louisiana sheriffs deputies were gunned down in the line of duty near La Place yesterday. The incident which claimed the lives of these two law enforcement professionals started with a routine traffic stop. Bernadette Lee with NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL has the details on what happened next.

Governor Bobby Jindal has ordered all flags in the state to be flown at half-staff until sunset Friday as an expression of respect for the two deputies that were killed and the two other deputies that were wounded in the incident.
