2014 Games of Acadiana This Saturday, August 16th at Cajundome and Convention Center

This Saturday, August 16th at the Cajundome and Cajundome Convention Center is the 14th Annual Games of Acadiana with our friends at Miles Perret Cancer Services.

Come play with a purpose! Doors will open at 9:00am and events begin at 10:00am with the always moving opening ceremonies which include the survivor walk, national anthem, brief prayer and announcement of honorees.

As always, the Games are free to attend and participate in. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

There are over 60 games for the entire family to participate in and this year there a few new games.

Here are the fun and exciting new games added this year:

• A-Maze Craze - How is your sense of direction? Test your internal compass in this new under the sea adventure!
• Backyard Bash - Step into the backyard to find your favorite games in life-size editions!
• Beat Seats - This isn't your preschool musical chairs game! With blindfolds and moving chairs, this is one place you won't easily find a seat!
• Break-A-Thon - Strength and skill come together as Acadiana Karate students break boards with their hands and feet!
• Milesy Mart - Check out new greeting cards, t-shirts, and more!
• Scavenger Hunt Rd 2 - Download the App and join in for a fun-filled, interactive photo hunt!
• Spot It - You need speed to win this quick matching game in 60 seconds or less.
