Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Thursday evening, tonight, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to Monroe, La. to take on the ULM Warhawks in the Sun Belt Conference opener for both teams.

Tipoff time is set for 7 o'clock, or 30 minutes following the completion of the women's game.

Louisiana, who defeated Loyola (New Orleans) last Wednesday  night, 106-62, is 2-2 on the young season, while ULM, who defeated Chattanooga, 64-54, on Monday night, will enter the match-up with a record of 3-2.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 96.0/82.0, and outshooting them from the floor, 51%/43%, while also holding down a 45.3/32.5 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by senior forward Shawn Long, who is averaging 21.3 points, to go along with 12.0 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Kasey Shepherd, who is averaging 12.3 points a contest.

ULM is outscoring the opposition, 70.4/60.8, while also outshooting opponents, 46%/38%, while holding down a 41.0/33.0 rebounding advantage.

The Warhawks are paced by senior forward Majok Deng, who is scoring 16.0 points and 7.2 rebounds-per-game.
