"We are all right. We are praying for our fans, and the people of Indianapolis. We hope you'll join us. They need your strength," That was the message the band Sugarland tweeted after last night's horrific events at the Indiana State Fair.Opening act, Sara Bareilles had just finished her set and Sugarland was about to take the stage. That is when mother nature showed her wrath.

According to witnesses in the crowd, a huge wall of dust and wind blew down the midway of the fair. When this wall of wind reached the stage it ripped down some of the scaffolding and light bars and sent them tumbling into the crowd. The majority of injuries according to reports, occured in the "Sugar Pit", a standing room only area located very close to the stage. Authorities confirmed the number of deaths but did not speculate on the number of injuries. Many of the injured were assisted by fellow concert goers who helped lift the metal scaffolding off of the victims so emergency personnel could get to them. From our family at 97.3 The Dawg our thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost loved ones or were injured in this horrible event.
