5-Year-Old Boy Was Sent An Invoice When He Missed A Birthday Party [Pic]

Ever been invited to a party, then for whatever reasons, you wound up not being able to make it? Ever received a bill because you missed that party? Yeah, me neither. A 5-year-old boy in England however DID get an invoice for a classmate's party he missed!

Little Alex came home from school one day with the invoice that his teacher had placed in his book sack. The teacher had no idea what it was at the time, she passed it along at the request of the parents of the kid who's party he'd missed.

The Plymouth Herald reported that his dad, Derek, originally confirmed Alex would be attending, but he’d forgotten about a pre-arranged day trip with Alex’s grandparents the same day. He had no contact details for the friend’s parents and Alex didn’t make the party.

Alex's Dad told The Herald -

When she [the boy’s mum] answered the door I told her I had found the invoice in my son’s school bag and that I wasn’t happy about it. I told her I would not be paying her the money.

I told her she should have spoken to me first and not put the invoice in my son’s school bag.

I would have sympathized with her about the cost of Alex not showing up, but I just can’t believe the way she has gone around it.
