Your drive in Lafayette may soon be a lot less bumpy.

According to KATC, 56 roads are slated for repair as part of a $3.7 million project.

Every other year, Lafayette Public Works Department evaluates roads and ranks them. The most recent study found that 56 roads in the parish are in desperate need of repairs and more roads could be added to that list later.

We may see work begin in parts of Lafayette sooner than later, as the project is set to begin within the next 30-45 days, and drivers may see a little delay in their commute, but public works officials are planning on keeping any inconveniences to a minimum.

If you had control over the $3.7 million, where would you start? What roads do you believe need the most attention in Lafayette?
