99-year-old Harold Percival passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 25th in Lancashire, England. He served his country in World War II while serving in the Royal Air Force.

He never married nor did he ever have children. And as you can imagine, he didn't have much family or friends left. Actually, as the funeral home started planning his service, they quickly found out none of his close friends or family could actually make the funeral.

So in his obituary, the funeral home said that any veterans or military personnel that wanted to show up would be welcome.

Then a soldier posted the obituary on Twitter and it got over 1,000 re-tweets! As a result, hundreds of people are expected to attend his funeral today in Lancashire, England.

And that's how we should send off all of our brave soldiers!
