$9K Reward For Information About Shooting Of Endangered Whooping Cranes In Acadia Parish
Not one, but two endangered whooping cranes have been found shot dead in Acadia Parish, and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division is looking find whoever is responsible.
A $9K reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person, or persons responsible for the illegal killing of these whooping cranes.
The two cranes where discovered May 20th south of Rayne, off of Hwy. 35.

Anyone with information regarding these illegal killings is being urged to contact the Louisiana Operation Game Thief hotline at 1-800-442-2511 or use LDWF’s tip411 program.
