Farrah is 2-years-old and battling stage 4 Neuroblastoma. The event will also include a motorcycle run, kid’s activity area, photo booth, silent and live auctions, food, drinks, and lots of music and dancing. The music lineup for this years includes the likes of Geno Delafose, Southwinz, Jamie Bergeron and more.

The event is free. However, the entry fee to participate in the cook-off is $50. For a donation, spectators are invited to taste participants’ entries after judging. A specially designed Gumbo Cook-Off Champ Paddle will be passed from the prior year reigning First Place champion to a new contender.

A benefit account has been set up at St. Landry Bank. Make checks payable to ‘Farrah Courville Benefit Account.’ Online registration and donations are available at TheGumboFoundation.org. Like and share their Facebook page as well.

The cook-off will be held at Frank’s Downtown and Doran & Cawthorne Law Firm in downtown Opelousas. Grounds open at 8am , kick off ceremony starts at 10am, and auction begins at 2pm. Music will continue through the day until 6pm.
