It's been a long time since the biggest selling female group in history have gotten together for a tour, but the Dixie Chicks will reunite, and head to Europe in 2016. Natalie Maines, and sisters Martie MacGuire and Emily Robison Strayer have done a couple of tours and a couple of albums since the huge debacle that halted their country music career in 2003, when Maines declared that the band 'Was ashamed that the President of the United States was from Texas', in advance of America going to war with Iraq. They have since received 5 Grammy Awards for their 2006 album 'Taking the Long Way', but have still met with pretty much a boycott of their music on country radio. The European tour will kick off in Amsterdam, then head to the UK and Ireland, where they will play Birmingham, Manchester, London, Glasgow, and Dublin. The Dixie Chicks have sold over 30 million albums, and were the subject of a 2006 documentary called 'Shut Up and Sing'.
