Lafayette's weather has been a roller coaster ride of up and down temperatures mixed in with occasional bouts of thunderstorms.
You might want your umbrella for later today, tonight and especially tomorrow. Much cooler weather is forecast for later in the week.
Don't forget your umbrella today. Chances are you will need it around lunch time and into the early afternoon hours.

As of 2am the only severe weather watches or warnings were well to the north and east of the 97.3 The Dawg listening area.This storm system should bring some gusty winds, frequent lightning and some heavy downpours to the area as it moves through.
A threat of storms late Tuesday should yield to beautiful weather for weekend parades throughout Acadiana. The warm temperatures of Sunday should stick around one more day and then things will begin to change.
