‘A Cajun and Creole Christmas’ – Holiday Events in Acadiana

Well, the holidays are here! We've been saying they are right around the corner for so long, that it seems like they just snuck up on us! Our friends at Lafayettetravel.com have a wonderful list of Christmas events that are sure to make your family smile this holiday season. 'A Cajun and Creole Christmas' has festivals, parades, tours of homes, tree lighting's, holiday markets, and other fun events around Acadiana.

Some of my favorites are the Downtown Alive! Official Lighting of the City Tree at Parc Sans Souci on November 25, the annual  Breaux Bridge Christmas Parade on November 29 at 2:00 pm, and the Christmas in Scott Celebration on December 2 from 5-8pm.

If you're like me, and you want to hit as many Christmas events and traditions as you can in Acadiana, this is a wonderful way to see what's going on in all of our cities and towns. Some of the smallest celebrations make the biggest impact on our memories, and some of these holiday happenings are very sentimental to me. 'A Cajun and Creole Christmas' goes on through December 31, so find someone to go with, put your sparkle on, and enjoy the holidays, friends!
