A Christmas Light Extravaganza [Video]
Ever seen those fancy homes or businesses that go all out for Christmas with lights synchronized to Christmas music? You’ve probably thought, “Wow! I want my house to look like that!” Well, if you want your lights to blink to the tune of your favorite Christmas song, then you have to know what goes into creating a dazzling display.
A local Acadiana company, Techneaux Technology Services went all out this year for the holiday season. They created a Christmas light extravaganza to get employees and Acadiana citizens excited about Christmas this year, and bring back what they think of as somewhat of a “missing tradition.”
To create this show, Techneaux uses a custom hardware and software package from Light-O-Rama (the vendor for most residential light displays). This software basically breaks the song you’re syncing your lights to into very short segments, letting you program each channel of lights to turn on, turn off, fade, twinkle, or shimmer. Techneaux employees were given the opportunity to design their own light show along with their choice of song. Using their programming and automation experience, Techneaux employees have created several custom sequences.
Everyone is invited to check out the amazing, light show and experience the sights and sounds of the holiday season. The show features some of your favorite, Christmas songs, such as: “Wonderful Christmastime” and “Joy to the World,” along with some modern music from some of today’s popular, pop stars.
