Everyone has one of those long work/school days where the last thing you feel like doing is cooking a nice, homemade meal for yourself.  The easiest thing to do is go through drive-thru and order something cheap and unhealthy. I have a recipe so simple and still gourmet, you won't believe it.

This is the kind of dish professional chefs cook for themselves when they get home from a long day or night in the kitchen.  My mom showed this recipe to me and boy, I am so glad she did.  Thank me later.

You will need:
1 package angel hair pasta
2 Tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 handful of fresh, Italian parsley
Lots of parmesan cheese

Boil the noodles according to package directions.  In a medium-large pan, pour the 2 Tbsp olive oil and turn stove on to medium-low heat. Peel and smash the garlic cloves, but do not mince. Add the garlic to the olive oil to perfume the oil. Next, add the tsp red pepper flakes. Remove and discard garlic cloves once it has fulfilled it's garlicy purpose in the oil (4 minutes or so). Before draining the noodles, save 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid. After you drain the noodles, add them to the olive oil mixture. Add the parsley, parmesan, and however much of the cooking liquid you think it needs. The liquid is starchy and will give the noodles a nice creaminess. Season with salt and pepper to taste and Voila! Enjoy!
