Abbeville High Teacher Arrested, Accused Of Having Sex With A Student

Vermilion Parish authorities have reportedly arrested an Abbeville High School teacher Nicholas Willis on accusations of having sex with an Abbeville High student in Kaplan.

"Law enforcement records indicate Nicolas Willis was booked into the Kaplan City Jail on a charge of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Vermilion Parish Public School Superintendent Jerome Puyau says the teacher is on administrative leave as of Tuesday of this week.

He says they started their investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavior on Monday.

Willis is a physical science and chemistry teacher at Abbeville High, and before that, he taught for Crowley Middle School."
