Abbeville Man to be Honored at Rose Parade

Ryan Viator will be featured in the Rose Parade on New Year's Day on the' Donate Life' float, along with 71 others from around the country whose donated organs helped save lives. He was nominated by the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency. The portrait of Ryan,made entirely of organic floral materials, was unveiled at a special ceremony on Wednesday honoring him and the fact that after his death, his donated organs provided the gift of life to others.

On Wednesday, Ryan's entire family gathered at Lafayette General Medical Center to put the finishing touches on the portrait, which will be displayed on float No.48 in the parade on New Year's Day in Pasadena. What a wonderful honor, and we will be watching on New Year's Day.
