Abbeville Man Turns Himself In For Alleged Involvement In Convenience Store Robbery

A suspect in a convenience store robbery in the 100 block of South College Road on December 5th has been arrested and charged with Simple Robbery.

Lafayette Police spokesman Corporal Paul Mouton says 54-year-old Ricky Huval of Abbeville turned himself into law enforcement Sunday morning. Cpl. Mouton says Huval was an acquaintance of Richard Skidmore of Lafayette, a man who was arrested but was unable to be charged in the robbery, and was at Skidmore's apartment prior to the robbery. Huval says Skidmore had no involvement in the crime.

Police continue to investigate.
