Abbeville Police Warning Citizens About Disability Application Scam

The Abbeville Police Department is alerting citizens to a possible disability application scam.

The Abbeville Police Dept. says they've received complaints from residents claiming they're receiving phone calls from different 337 area codes. The caller apparently is saying they are following up on application for disability payments, and asks for personal and banking information.

The Abbeville Police want to remind and cation citizens against giving out personal banking information out over the over phone.
