As much as many of thought our teachers were out to get us as kids, they had the biggest impact on our lives. They believed in us when we couldn't believe in ourselves and pushed us to do things they knew we were capable of even when we thought we weren't. This describes Mrs. Shana LeBlanc quite perfectly. And now she needs your help.

Shana is a 2nd grade teacher at LeBlanc Elementary in Abbeville. She wrote a grant for $2,500 that was accepted by ThankAMillionTeachers.com and is currently the only teacher in the area in the running to receive the grant (she is running against teachers from all around the country). The reason Shana wrote for the grant is to help pay for her National Board Certification. This grant would help Shana to further her career in a field that she loves - teaching, which she has done for the last 14 years!

So Dawgs, I need a bit of a favor. Let's show Shana some love and give her our vote. It is because of people like Shana that our children can receive the best education possible and pave the way for even more impeccable young minds to grow into well rounded adults and make a difference in their communities. Here what you have to do:

1. Head over to ThankAMillionTeachers.com
2. Click on the red button that says 'Vote for a Proposal' underneath the headline 'Vote for a $2,500 Proposal'
3. This page will allow you to either view the top 20 or go straight to voting (you can do either first)
4. To vote, just follow the quick and easy steps shown. If you would like to view Shana's entry, click 'See the Top 20' and you will find her under the 'SC' tab

We believe in Shana's goal and we hope that you share in that as well. Send your vote today because voting ends on the last day in November. We love our teachers!
