Plenty of wet weather, coupled with rising flood waters, forced several school districts in Acadiana to shut down last week. Now, those school districts have announced how they plan to make up the lost time.

Acadia Parish

Students will go to school Tuesday, a previously scheduled parent/teacher conference day on which students were normally off. Those schools in the Fifth Ward--Estherwood Elementary, Mermentau Elementary, Midland Elementary, Midland High, and Morse Elementary--will go to school on both Friday and Tuesday.
