The Class 5A match-up between the Acadiana Wreckin' Rams and the Central Lafourche Trojans highlights four opening round LHSAA playoff games on the Town Square Media airwaves on Friday night.

The game is scheduled for 7 o'clock at Bill Dotson Stadium.

Acadiana, the District 3-5A champions, went 7-2 during the regular season, including a 6-0 district mark, will enter the playoffs as the #11-seed.

Central Lafourche, who went 6-4, including a 3-3 record in District 7-5A play, will enter the playoffs as the 22nd-seed.

The Wreckin' Rams, who will enter the game riding a 6-game win streak, are the two-time defending state champions.

In a Class 4A clash, the Cecilia Bulldogs will host the Northwood Falcons.

Cecilia, the #3-seed, who won the District 5-4A crown with an undefeated 4-0 district mark, is 9-1, overall.

Northwood, the #30-seed, is 4-6, overall, including a 2-5 mark in District 1-4A.

A Class 3A battle has the Erath Bobcats hosting the Iowa Yellow Jackets.

Erath, the #12-seed, is 7-3, overall, after finishing 4-2 in District 8-3A play, while Iowa, the #21-seed, is 5-5, overall, after going 3-2 in District 4-3A play.

Finally, in Division IV, the top-seeded Ascension Episcopal Blue Gators will play host to the 16th-seeded St. Frederick Warriors.

Ascension Episcopal, will enter the playoffs with an overall record of 9-1, after going 6-1 in District 7-1A play, while St. Frederick is currently 6-4, after going 5-2 in District 2-1A play.
