According to KATC, a Kaplan family of nine, including six children, says they lost everything after a fire broke out around 12:30 this morning. It happened in the 900 block of West 8th Street. No one was injured, and firefighters say their home has minor damage, but their truck is a total loss. Their belongings were destroyed by the smoke and the water used to fight the fire.
