Actor James Noble passed away on Monday following a stroke. He was 94.

Noble is best known for playing Governor Eugene Gatling on the sitcom "Benson", which aired from 1979 to 1986.

He also played Dr. Miles in Bo Derek's breakout movie "10" in 1979.

And he appeared on episodes of "The Love Boat", "Perfect Strangers", "Law & Order", and "One Life to Live".

He was married to actress Carolyn Coates, whom he met when they were both appearing in a production of "Pygmalion". She died in 2005.

Noble is survived by his daughter, Jessica Katherine Noble Cowan.
