Country Music Hall of Fame group Alabama is back on the road and we're looking forward to their show this Saturday at Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder. The boys from Fort Payne, Alabama are also working on new music.

So much for that retirement thing!

To get you ready for the show, we invited lead singer Randy Owen to join us this morning on the Bruce & the Kennel Club show. Within seconds, you quickly realize that Randy, after all these years, is still a good ole country boy.

Randy is a big fan of the Dawg and dogs. He told us about his love of his many golden retrievers. Of course, the topic of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital came up. Owen is a long time supporter and believer in this amazing institution. He is the founder of Country Cares, an alliance of country radio stations throughout the country which raise money through various methods such as radiothons.

We finally got around to talking touring and new music for the group. Randy tells us that they've got exciting new music that still sounds like old Alabama. Look for new music sometime next year and more of the boys on the road.
