Alan Jackson Before He Was a Star [Video]

You ever watch a YouTube video only to see a related video on the side that peaks your curiosity and you get suckered in? Then before you know it instead of watching the latest music video by Lady Antebellum you're checking out stupid cat videos!

That kind of happened to me this morning. I was looking at a George Jones video that he posted about his recent health bout and next thing I know I'm checking out a circa 1986 Alan Jackson TV appearance.

It's worth a gander. This is Alan Jackson before he was a star. I vaguely remember this show. It was on TNN and it was called You Can Be a Star.

As a side note, Keith Stegall is one of the judges. Keith was a one-time recording artist but later when on to be Alan's long-time producer! This is believed to be the first time he saw Alan perform.
