It is no secret that we love our fast food in these United States of America. And every state has a ton of them.

Every state has McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Subway and the like. But there's a lot more to American fast food than that.

The website Thrillist.com just ranked all 50 states by their fast food. The ranking is based on things like the number of chains that started in each state, the number of different chains with locations there, and the quality of the chains that have locations there.

Topping the list is the great state of Texas. Several mid-sized chains got their start in the Lone Star State like Schlotsky's and Whataburger. They also have a ton of regional chains like In-N-Out Burger and Culver's.

Louisiana surprisingly made the top 10, checking in at #8 to be exact. We were given extra props for our affection of poultry with roots in the Bayou State for Popeye's and Raising Canes.

Now the big question, "Is being towards the top of this list a good thing?"
