In this digital age, it's hard to remember what it was like when we didn't have the world at our fingertips. Some of the most historic events and images can be seen RIGHT NOW, but back when they happened, it was an entirely different story. Our friends at lolwot found some incredibly important historical pictures that are not only fascinating, but probably very rare. I mean, photos of Titanic survivors being picked up by the RMS Carpathia in 1912 are jarring, to say the least. Or the carving of Mt Rushmore in 1932, or how about the Statue of Liberty being constructed in 1884? All fascinating, and very rarely seen, if not EVER.

Check out the rest of these fascinating photos, and try to think what it must have been like to actually see these very historic events unfold before your eyes. Wow.
