Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith Divorcing After 18 Years

Another Hollywood marriage has bit the dust as Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith are getting divorced. The couple have been together for 18 years.

Melanie actually did the filing on Friday but the decision was mutual.

They issued a statement saying, "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost twenty years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together."

According to a source they had fallen out of love some time ago and they basically stayed together for their daughter Stella.

Stella turns 18 in September and reports are that Melanie is seeking full custody and spousal support. However, the same source doesn't expect things to get ugly. "It's just not them," says the source.

What may get ugly is the laser treatments that the 56-year-old Griffith will have to get to remove her "Antonio" tattoo!

This was the fourth marriage for Melanie, however, two of those unions were to actor Don Johnson. She was first married to him in 1976 for six months and remarried him in 1989. She was also hitched to Steven Bauer, who played Manny Ribera in "Scarface". They were married from 1982 to 1987.

This was 53-year-old Antonio's second marriage. He was married to Spanish actress Ana Leza from 1987-1996.
