Two cousins have been arrested in connection with a late night shooting that left a popular high school football coach dead. Juan Joseph, quarterbacks coach for West St. John High School was shot and killed in an altercation early Sunday morning. By Tuesday police had two suspects, the alleged shooter and the alleged getaway vehicle driver in custody.

25 year old Kendric Cloud was taken into custody Tuesday and it is believed that he is the shooter in this unfortunate incident.

"Kendric turned himself in last night to officers at the 4th District Precinct while accompanied with an attorney.  Kendric has been identified as the shooter in the death of Mr. Joseph."

Those comments were made by Cpl Don Coppola of the Baton Rouge Police Department. His remarks were included in a story published by the Louisiana Radio Network.

Cloud's cousin, 25 year old Lemark Cloud was taken into custody on Monday. Authorities believe he was driving the vehicle from which the shots were fired. According to reports Mr. Joseph and the other two men were involved in an altercation shortly after closing time of a Baton Rouge nightclub.

Kendric Cloud has been charged with second degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm. Lemark Cloud has been charged with accessory to second degree murder and other charges in connection with the case. Both men have a criminal history according to Baton Rouge Police.
