New Zealand artist Claire Hobbs spotted a dead cat one day while out running errands. She then took that cat home and stored it in her freezer while she searched missing pet ads trying to find the owner. When her searches came up empty, she decided to put the kitty to use, so she made a handbag out the cat, complete with the head of the cat. All I can think about right now are that people who have eaten dinner at her house in the past are thinking "Wait, the food she cooked was stored in the freezer with a dead cat?"

Hobbs has been a taxidermist for the past 15 years, and by the looks of the condition of the cat bag, she's a pretty darn good one. She reportedly made the cat handbag a few years ago for an art exhibit, but recently decided to sell the one-of-kind creation via trademe.com.

This cat bag just sold, and fetched her over $500. See what I did there?
