An environmental services company that was once headquartered in Lafayette is now moving back to the Hub City, and they are bringing about two dozen jobs with them.

Environmental consulting firm ATC Group Services announces today that their corporate headquarters are moving back to Lafayette.

The company has 25 new positions now to offer in Lafayette in both the environmental services sector and the office.  Within two years, they are expected to create another 25 to 30 positions.

Seven years ago in 2009, the company that used to be ATC Associates moved Lafayette, but when they were bought out by Cardno Limited, that company moved their headquarters to Denver, Colorado.  Last year, a group of investors headed up by Bernhard Capital Partners bought the company, and the headquarters will return to Lafayette.

Bernhard Capital Partners member Jeff Jenkins says,

"ATC is a national leader in environmental services and we're very excited to welcome them to the BCP family.  We currently have over 10,000 employees, and we have made significant investments in Louisiana."

ATC CEO and President Bobby Toups says, "We're in the 'people' business and Lafayette has  more than its share of the most experience and hardest working people you'll ever meet."

ATC offers many services to clients including:

  • Environmental consulting
  • Industrial hygiene
  • Geotechnical engineering
  • Construction materials testing and special inspection
  • Petroleum, environmental health and safety training

They serve customers in both the public and private sectors in the following areas:

  • Petroleum
  • Real Estate
  • Retail
  • Manufacturing
  • Financial Services
  • Insurance
  • Construction
  • Telecommunications
  • Education
  • Government
  • Hospitality

Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux had this to say about the company,

"I am pleased to welcome ATC's headquarters back to Lafayette. This important expansion will enhance and continue to diversify our local economy.  The decision to re-establish and grow their headquarters here demonstrates the quality of place that Lafayette Parish offers to both industry and workers."
