While many coaches are gearing up for bowl season, it's that time of year when many other underperforming college college coaches get their walking papers. This year, some big names--including the winningest coach in Cal history and a guy who won a national title less than two years ago--headline the list of coaches who have been fired.
Iron Bowl. The Game. Bedlam. They’re the games that need no introduction. And those are just some of the ones with cool nicknames. They don’t even take into account big games this week like Florida/Florida State, Notre Dame/USC and South Carolina/Clemson.
Yes, it’s rivalry week.
Just when you think you’ve got things figured out in college football, anarchy rears its ugly head and reminds you who’s in control. Never was that more true than this week when the top two teams in the country both went down to defeat. The door is now wide open for Notre Dame and the SEC champion to meet in the national championship game. But if the last two weeks have taught us anything, the top of the polls can be a very scary place to be.
Here are all the highlights from this week in the Top 25. Let chaos reign.
We’re down to the home stretch of the regular season, with most teams having just two games remaining. There aren't many big games this week, with only two top 25 matchups and five ranked SEC schools dropping down to play FCS teams. But there is still some action this week that could shake up conference-title races. #1 Oregon faces a ranked team and #2 Kansas State hits the road against one of the nation’s top offenses. Hey, after last week, anything’s possible.

Texas A&M threw college football for a loop, pulling off the biggest upset of the season and, at least for the time being, knocking the SEC out of the national title picture. But that was far from the only excitement this week in college football.
Here is all the action from around the Top 25.
We’re getting down to crunch time in the college football season. Several top teams are trying to wrap up their respective divisions or keep their title hopes alive while others are just struggling to hold on to bowl eligibility. There are several interesting games this week: only three matchups between ranked teams, but 11 ranked teams have tough road trips.

Little 3-year-old Dillan Warden was recently playing in his front yard when he felt nature call. The toddler is being potty trained and, since he wasn’t close to a bathroom, he did what any young boy in the situation would do —- he unzipped and let it fly. Instead of being rewarded for keeping his big boy pants dry, he found himself slapped with a $2,500 fine for public urination.
It was another crazy weekend in college football with Alabama and Notre Dame needing last minute rallies to survive, Oregon and USC giving us a PAC-12 shootout for the ages and the Heisman frontrunner leaving with an injury.
Here are all the highlights from an exciting weekend in the Top 25.
Last week's showdowns knocked several teams from the ranks of the unbeaten and shook up the rankings. This week, we get two of the biggest games of the season, with Alabama-LSU and Oregon-USC setting the stage for conference- and national-championship runs.
But the excitement doesn't stop there. Here is what to watch for around the top 25:
It's always a sad moment when you realize that college football's regular season is more than halfway done, but it should still be a fun week with lots of exciting games on tap. Six of the top 10 teams in the country play ranked opponents, and 13 top 25 teams face challenges on the road.
