We all have those friends who post pictures of every darned meal they make as they try to one up the rest of us with their mad culinary skills.

Guess what -- that's probably only one of like three meals they actually know how to make!

A new survey found that the average person only knows how to cook five meals or less without a recipe.

One in three say they only try a new recipe about once a year.

And one in eight say they wouldn't trust themselves to cook anything with a recipe, not even something as simple as an omelet! (Come on folks, even I can't screw up an omelet...that bad!)

Also, not surprising, we're much more likely to get recipes from our mothers than our fathers. While half of the women say they learned how to cook their best meals from their moms, only 5% made that claim about their fathers.

I get my best recipes from Chef Boyardee.
