We are experiencing some of the coldest weather we have seen in years this morning. There are hard freeze warnings issued for much of Acadiana. Some school systems have postponed classes because of the frigid temperatures. Just like every storm cloud has a silver lining there is a unique beauty to the extreme cold that is gripping our country. It is seen in these awesome images of soap bubbles.

This video was recorded yesterday morning in Joplin Missouri. The temperature at the time of the video was between -11 and -8 degrees. Watch how quickly these soap bubbles turn into incredible ice sculptures. Nature is its most amazing when it is at its worst for mankind.
