This year's R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl will be a bit different from last year. The game will be at 11am instead of 8pm. That just means the partying starts a little sooner.

So when you head down to the Big Easy, make sure you pencil in the "Friday Night Concert" at Champions Square outside of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The second annual event will feature a couple of legendary groups in The Beach Boys and Bad Company with lead singer Brian Howe.

The free concert starts at 5:30pm. Doors open at 5:00pm. Admission is free and open to the public.

As you probably know by now, for the second year in a row, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns will be the Sun Belt Conference representative in the NOLA Bowl. The Cajuns' opponent will either be East Carolina or Rice, depending on the outcome of Saturday's Conference USA game.
