There aren't many things in my world that bring a bigger smile to my face than bacon. Almost everything I know can be made better with bacon. The cheeseburger, the pizza, the salad, the dry stale biscuit, they can all be kicked up a notch by including those smokey strips of hog heaven that we call bacon.

Most people don't have a clue how to cook bacon. Elvis liked his burned, I like mine al dente and I know some people that like to eat limp bacon. Is there a way to make bacon perfect every time? I think this might be the closest effort I have ever seen, I have tried it and it works.

It does make it time consuming though. It is a heck of a lot easier to just stick the entire pound of bacon on the broiler pan and let it bake on a low temperature until it renders itself into little pieces of paradise.
