Country music icon, television star, dad to Miley, and all around good guy Billy Ray Cyrus might be having a mid life crisis. He has spent the last 25 years defending his biggest hit - one that has sold millions and millions of records, and kept his debut album 'Some Gave All' in the #1 spot for 17 weeks straight. Do not get me wrong, I am a huge fan of this Kentucky humanitarian, who does so much for others, without taking any credit. People are so quick to bash him, but he has endured, and thrived, in the entertainment business for a very long time, and managed to stay a really nice guy. And he has fans that really adore him.

Billy Ray recently did an interview with Rolling Stone, and said he is in the process of officially changing his name to just 'Cyrus'. He apparently wanted that moniker since the beginning of his career, but was held back by his record company in the 90's. As he celebrates the 25th anniversary of his break out hit 'Achy Breaky Heart', he states that his name will be changed by August 25th. He's re recording 'Achy Breaky', doing Spanglish and EDM versions of it, and gearing up for a new album. He's also preparing for the new season of his wildly funny CMT show 'Still the King'. Good for him. I think he's awesome!
