Bizarre Things That Are Taxed

Happy Tax Day, fellow Americans! If you are thinking that you are paying waaaaaaaay too many taxes, we've got news for you - it could be worse. For instance, if you are in New York City, there is a tax on bagels, but only if they are sliced or prepared. You get a break if you choose to buy a whole bagel. Huh? Or, if you are in Illinois, you are paying extra taxes on all candy, unless they are made with flour, like Whoppers. And if you are in Maryland or Virginia, there is a tax on flushing the toilet. Hmmmm....
