Blake Shelton stopped by 'The Today Show' Friday morning (Aug. 1) to announce a forthcoming album with all of the details.

Shelton's eleventh studio album, 'Bringing Back the Sunshine,' is due out Sept. 30, and he announced it right on live TV. The star also revealed the album cover -- a somber looking water tower reading the word 'Ada' (as in Ada, Oklahoma) under a dark sky with just a hint of sunshine. The water tower shot is a tribute to where Shelton was born in 1976.

The album will be released on Warner Bros. Records.

As an artist with a long and storied career, it would seem Shelton's name is still on the rise. The star was nominated for three Grammy awards last year, and he's the reigning CMA Awards Male Vocalist of the Year. Plus, he holds the record for most consecutive No. 1 singles on country radio. Shelton has had 12 in a row -- 17 total!
