The bodies of a man and a woman missing since Feb. 15 were recovered from a submerged car yesterday.

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Randy Smith says that a dive team found the bodies of 28-year-old Dustin Hartline and 20-year-old Raegan Elizabeth Day at the East Pearl River Boat Launch near the Mississippi state line.

Smith says the case is currently under investigation as a double homicide.

A tip reportedly came in on Monday about Day's Chevrolet Camaro, which the two friends were last seen in when they left their Pearl River home. Investigators say the two were going to a relative's home in Kenner and then expected to head to Baton Rouge. They never showed up at the relatives home.

The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
