The election is over and the people have spoken. 61% of voters in Louisiana's 3rd Congressional district voted to send Charles Boustany back to Washington to be their voice. Boustany, the former 7th district congressman faced incumbent 3rd district congressman Jeff Landry in a run off yesterday.

The campaign was marred by vicious attacks, personal allegations and some good old fashioned mud slinging. Listeners to The Bruce and The Kennel Club program expressed disgust with both sides over the method of campaigning employed by both candidates.

The most recent complaint our listeners expressed was the use of "robocalling" telemarketing. One listener told us that she was called 8 times between the hours of 5pm and 9pm on Friday night.
