The baseball season always gets a lot more intense in September. That is when teams are fighting for a spot in the playoffs or in this case already in the playoffs. This is action from the Double A Eastern League playoffs. The game is between the Erie Seawolves and the Harrisburg Senators.

Brandon Douglas is trying to score from third and catcher Brian Jeroloman doesn't want him to. It's the classic case of an unstoppable force meeting the immovable object. The runner was safe. Jeroloman, the catcher, was hospitalized after the collision with a cut on his chin and possible concussion.

Harrisburg went on to win the playoff series and advance to finals in the Eastern League for the first time in 11 years. What is interesting is this would have been a penalty in the NFL because the base runner lead with the crown of his helmet.
