Popular Texas convenience store chain Buc-ee's is opening it's first out-of-state location on I-12 in Baton Rouge, LA.

According to Business Report, the first Louisiana Buc-ee's will be a "huge."

more than 60,000 square feet of retail space and more than 90 fueling positions.

Buc-ee's was founded in the early 1980s in Lake Jackson, TX and has since opened a total of 32 locations in the Lone Star state.

Nearly 95% of Buc-ee's receipts are from outside of each respective store's zip code, which means that the rest stop is less of a truck stop and more of a destination. As a matter of fact, only 4-wheeled vehicles are allowed.

One interesting difference is that unlike the Texas-based stores that feature food and merch related to their state, the first Louisiana Buc-ee's will feature local offerings that reflect the area.

We bring in local vendors, so we try to support the community as well as enhance the visitors’ experience

In addition to the merchandise, there will be fuel and tons of self prepared food.

The Baton Rouge Buc-ee's location hopes to be open in early 2017.
