Cajun Baseball, Softball & Basketball In Action Today

If you are looking for a reason to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors in the sunshine we have two great suggestions for you. We have Ragin Cajun baseball at Tigue Moore Field or Ragin Cajun Softball at Lamson Park. Both teams are in action at home this weekend. Plus Cajun Basketball is at home tonight in the Cajundome.

Coach Tony Robichaux's Ragin Cajun baseball team will be  hosting the Chippewas of Central Michigan in game two of a four game series. The first pitch will happen shortly after 2pm today followed by game 3 approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 2pm contest. The Cajuns won the season opener against Central Michigan last night in dominating fashion 12-6. You can hear both games on NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL.

The nationally ranked Cajun softball team continues play in the Louisiana Classics at 1pm against Texas State. The Cajuns won their opener in "the Classics" by defeating Mississippi Valley State yesterday 13-2. You can hear Cajun Softball on SportsRadio ESPN 1420 beginning at 12:45. The Cajuns will play another game later this afternoon, approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game with Texas State. The opponent will be Mississippi Valley State.

Coach Bob Marlin's basketball team will take to the Cajundome floor tonight at 7pm for a Sun Belt Conference game against Florida Atlantic. This marks the first game of a three game home stand for the Cajuns. You can hear that game on SportsRadio ESPN 1420 and Hot 107.9 FM.
