One of my absolute favorite events of the year, Cajun Comic Relief, is coming up on Saturday, March 25th at the Heyman Performing Arts Center in Lafayette. This will be the event's 25th year celebration!

There will be two shows, a matinee at 2pm and the evening performance at 7pm. Each show will be proceeded by live music performed by Cajun bands including the Cajun Tradition Band and Richard Lebouef & Two Step.

Tickets for this great event are on sale now through Ticketmaster or the Heymann Box Office and are $30 (plus fees).

The comic lineup is pretty solid and includes Acadiana's A.J. Smith, Cajun Mike from down Bayou Teche, New Orleanian Tommy "Tee Ray" Bergeron, and New Iberia's Magic Mike.

This year's Cajun Comic Relief will be memorable for many reasons but one in particular is the inaugural induction for the Cajun Comedians Hall of Fame. That ceremony will be part of the evening show.

Cajun Comic Relief is presented by the Louisiana Lottery Corporation and is a benefit for Hospice of Acadiana.
