Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football game will have a short week before their road game at Georgia Southern next fall.

Louisiana will play Georgia Southern in Statesboro on Thursday night, November 10th, the Sun Belt and ESPN announced today. The game will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

The matchup was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 12th, before the move.

Louisiana plays at home versus Idaho for homecoming on Saturday, November 5th, before the quick turnaround at Georgia Southern.

"Georgia Southern and UL Lafayette have had tremendous success on the football field the last several years," said Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson in a press release.  "Winning games grabs attention and these two teams win games.  ESPN and the Sun Belt provide an opportunity to showcase winning programs to a primetime national audience and the result is that student-athletes, teams, universities and the Sun Belt Conference get to raise their profiles on a national level."

Louisiana's football season kicks off at Cajun field on Saturday, September 3rd when they host the Boise State Broncos in the Herbert Heymann Football Classic.
